Apophatikos III

The human being is the expression of the creative act, entrusted with the breath of our Lord and made in His image. He who is without form, and from which all form originates. When seeking life’s purpose, search no farther than the heart/mind, there is nowhere else that God abides. His presence is a refuge, and His presence is constant. The human heart/mind when devoted to God’s will is aligned with the original intention of their being. We are created as participants in the creative act, constant elements through which the creative act is experienced. Our existence is its own purpose, and we exist only by our self recognition of that existence, as to understand the blessings and consequences of existence is a uniquely human trait that originates in our bond with the divine breath.

We know we exist, and so we exist. Existence is defined through how humans have experienced it, an experience that can only be attributed to our consciousness, and thus God’s trust. Our lives are the divine intention. With this understanding of existence we begin to comprehend the necessity of Islam, the absolute submission to God and His will, for we are created in the state of submission. To live in another way besides in devotion to Him and in alignment with His will causes us to doubt about the purpose of our existence. It is the epitome of despair, a crisis that is the lack of understanding of the nature of the self that will eventually envelop the human being in confusion. It is through the path that from this state of forgetfulness that we return to our Lord. Life is the presence of God.
